Ingredients:
• 1 cup cooked ham, diced
• 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup milk (whole or 2% works best)
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• Optional: 1/4 cup chopped green onions or sautéed onions
• Optional: 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard or a pinch of nutmeg for extra flavor
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
• Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or quiche dish.
2. Layer Ingredients:
• Sprinkle the diced ham evenly in the bottom of the dish.
• Add shredded Swiss cheese on top of the ham.
• If using green onions or sautéed onions, sprinkle those in too.
3. Mix Egg Mixture:
• In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
• Pour the mixture over the ham and cheese in the dish.
4. Bake:
• Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
• Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
