Ingredients:
12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
12 wonton wrappers
1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
Oil for frying (vegetable or peanut oil)
For Serving:
-Sweet chili sauce
-Spicy mayo (mayo + Sriracha)
-Soy sauce with sesame oil
Instructions:
In a bowl, toss shrimp with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Lay one shrimp diagonally in the center. Brush the edges with beaten egg. Fold one corner over the shrimp, then roll it up tightly like an egg roll, pressing the edges to seal.
Heat 2 inches of oil in a pan. Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel or wire rack.
Serve hot with sweet chili sauce, spicy mayo, or soy dipping sauce.
