Super delicious , highly recommended
Golden, juicy, and perfectly seasoned — these wings are seriously addictive. Whether it’s game night, movie time, or just a treat-yourself kind of day, these crispy wings deliver every single time.
What You’ll Need:
Ingredients:
• 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats, separated)
• 1 tbsp baking powder (not baking soda — this is the key to crispiness!)
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp paprika
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1 tbsp neutral oil (like canola or vegetable)
Optional (for serving):
• Your favorite sauce (buffalo, BBQ, garlic parmesan)
• Ranch or blue cheese dip
• Fresh celery or carrot sticks
Instructions:
1. Prep the chicken:
Start by cutting the chicken wings into drumettes and flats if they aren’t already. Use a sharp chicken wing knife for a clean cut at the joint.
Pat the wings completely dry with paper towels — the drier they are, the crispier they get.
2. Season:
In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and oil. Make sure every piece is evenly coated. The baking powder helps draw out moisture and gives the wings that irresistible crunch.
3. Choose your crisp method:
In the Oven (classic method):
• Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
• Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
• Arrange wings in a single layer.
• Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Air Fryer (fast & easy):
• Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
• Place wings in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
• Cook for 20–25 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through.
Deep Fryer (ultra crispy):
• Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
• Fry wings in small batches for 8–10 minutes.
• Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
4. Serve hot & fresh:
Serve as-is or toss in your favorite wing sauce for extra flavor. Don’t forget the dips and sides!
Tips for the Ultimate Wings:
• Use baking powder, not flour — it’s the trick for that restaurant-style crisp.
• Let them rest for 5 minutes before tossing in sauce.
• Want extra crispy? Chill seasoned wings uncovered in the fridge for 2 hours before baking.
• Add chili powder or cayenne if you like heat!
